EHF THERAPY APPARATUS WITH INDIVIDUAL MATCHING OF  RADIATING FREQUENCY ACTING ON BAP  “STELLA-2”

 EHF therapy apparatus with individual matching of radiating frequency acting on BAP “Stella-2” (hereunder referred to apparatus) in variation shown in Table 2 is meant to be used first, for patient treatment with low-intensity radiation of electromagnetic waves of extremely high frequency (EHF) in the range of 59 – 63 GHz by acting on biologically active points of body and areas of skin; and second, for use as an EHF energy source in biomedical researches.

         The apparatus provides automatic and manual turning of frequency in the frequency (wavelength) range 59 – 63 GHz (5.1 – 4.7mm) by means of generator, as well as treatment efficacy assessment and individual matching of remedial frequencies by means of biofeedback unit (BFB) registering BAP electric conductivity (BAP EC). 

          The apparatus can be applied in physiotherapeutic rooms of clinics, hospitals and full-range medical preventive institutions.

           The apparatus can be used in environments with ambient temperatures between +10°С to +35°С, relative humidity less than 80% at +25°С and atmospheric pressure 84.0-106.6kPa.

·         presence of implanted devices with autonomous power supply, such as a pacemaker and the like.

3.      TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

            The apparatus includes a generator with remote EHF-radiator and the biofeedback unit, formed in single or separate housings.  

           The apparatus runs on AC 50Hz with a nominal voltage of 220V. BFB unit variation 01 runs on DC power supply with a nominal voltage of 3V (two 1.5V elements) or on USB port of a personal computer (PC) with a voltage of 5V.  

.            The apparatus provides low intensity non-thermal electromagnetic radiation of millimeter waves in the frequency range of 58.1 – 59.3GHz to 62.7 – 63.7GHz.

            In manual frequency turning mode and in automatic frequency scanning the minimum step of frequency change is not more than 0.15 GHz. Time of frequency change throughout the range is within 1-200s.

          Output power of EHF radiation measured in output of the EHF-radiator horn is at least 0.01mW at a fixed frequency of 61 ± 0.5 GHz. At that, power flow density of EHF radiation is at least 0.003mW/cm².   

3.6.            BFB unit provides registration of BAP electric conductivity, at that BFB unit electrodes voltage and current doesn’t exceed 2.7V and 17 µA at open- and closed-circuit respectively.    

3.7.            Power consumption of the apparatus and the generator (variation 01) is not more than 25VA, as for BFB unit (variation 01) is not more than 1.0VA.  

3.8.            Overall apparatus dimensions do not exceed 160х360х250mm, BFB unit (variation 01) – not more than 210х180х80mm, remote EHF-radiator is not more than 80х60х40mm.

          Length of EHF-radiator connecting cable is not less than 1.5m; length of BFB unit electrodes cable is not less than 1.0m.

.        The weight of the unpacked apparatus with generator (variation 01) is not more than 5kg, the unpacked BFB unit (variation 01) is not more than 1.0kg. 

      The apparatus allows setting a time of procedure for at least 39 minutes with 1 minute step.

3.12.        Operating mode set-up time after energizing is not more than 2 minutes.

      The apparatus automatically cuts off the EHF radiation after a given time of the procedure.

        The apparatus provides continuous operating with intermittent duty (EHF radiation: 5-30min. is on, 3-5min. is off) for at least 8 hours.
