The sapropelic mud is formed owing to decomposing of animal and vegetative microorganisms and algae. It is rich in mineral and organic substances, estrogen and enzyme with activating and regenerating effects on the tissue. It contains vitamins C, F, B2, B12 and bio-stimulating matters, inorganic salts as well as microelements (Fe, Zn, Cu, Cd, Pb).
Medical and scientific research studies indicate that the therapies based on this mud are very effective in treating numerous illnesses, the most common being the skin disease, psoriasis. Sapropelic Mud has also been found to have therapeutic effects on skin allergies and is well known for its anti-aging and beauty benefits. It has also become famous and has been used for its soothing, anti-inflammatory action on muscles, joints, ligaments and spine; it also improves blood and lymph circulation.
